What features does the EAP have?
Everyday family life
Our EAP can help with the daily challenges of raising a family, from parenting and schooling to peer pressure and finding a healthy work/life balance.
Managing your money
The EAP offers free, confidential help with any money matters, such as budgeting, credit cards, pensions or savings.
Their counsellors can shine a light on debt too – talking you through your worries and explaining solutions such as a Debt Management Plan, debt or loan consolidation, an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) or other options. Available Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm and Saturday, 9am to 3pm.
Legal advice at any hour of the day or night
Through the EAP helpline, a qualified legal adviser is only ever a phone call away. They can help with a range of concerns, such as housing and tenancy issues, wills and probate, motoring, consumer rights, family law and more.
Sorting through work worries
How can you go about moving to a different role? What’s the best way to build work relationships? How do you manage work pressures and deadlines?
If your work-related worries are piling up, our EAP can help you sort through them. They can support with common worries and stress, as well as help returning to work after a break, because of parental leave or an illness.
Dealing with difficult relationships
How we get on with the people around us has a huge effect on our lives. Whether it’s a divorce or separation, or conflict with a relative, friend or colleague, when a relationship becomes strained, the EAP can help. You’ll find guidance and advice to help you through.
A helping hand through those big moments in life
Starting a family
Pregnancy, birth and adoption can all be times of worry and uncertainty. But the EAP counsellors can offer advice on preparing to welcome your new arrivals into the family.
Buying a property
There are many moving parts to buying a new home, especially if you’re selling at the same time. The EAP's advisers can be there to guide you through the process.
Retiring
The move into retirement can be a tricky time for some. It might help to talk about adapting to your new financial status or adjusting emotionally to the next phase of your life.
Personal issues
Whatever you’re going through, including divorce, abuse or discrimination, you don’t have to face it alone. You can talk to our trained counsellors about any personal issues, no matter how sensitive, in total confidence.
Illness and injury
These can disrupt everyday life, throw out long-term plans and hit your finances, whether it’s you or someone close to you. The EAP can lend support and guidance, whatever the future holds.
Family upheaval
Disputes and rifts, a death in the family, or caring for relatives could put you under huge strain. The EAP counsellors can discuss any of these topics with the sensitivity they need.
