What is Aviva Digital GP?
Aviva Digital GP is like putting a GP in your pocket. Provided by Square Health, you can get free, around the clock access to GP video consultations with private GPs, repeat NHS GP prescriptions and consultations with a menopause trained health professional - all at the touch of a button. The service is provided at no additional cost to Aviva health insurance customers.
What are the benefits?
Aviva Digital GP could save time when you need a GP consultation or simply want some medical advice. It gives you swift and convenient access to a range of services including GP video consultations and repeat NHS prescriptions.
What features does it include?
When time matters
Video consultations can help save time, with no need to visit a GP surgery. You can book appointments 24/7 with most available on the same day as your preferred booking time. The appointment slot with your selected GP will last for up to 15 minutes.
After your consultation, you'll also be able to view the advice you've been given and your consultation history, all within the app.
Choice of GP
You'll be offered both male and female GPs to select from. You can choose to search for a GP who you've previously seen via the app within the last six months. You can also review GPs' biographies and select the one who best suits your needs, based on their profile.
Menopause support service
The service provides you with access to up to six 30 minute consultations per member, per year, with a menopause trained health professional to discuss symptoms and concerns. In addition, there's an information hub offering practical tips and support to help you gain a better understanding of menopause.
Repeat NHS prescriptions
You can order prescribed repeat medication within the app (all NHS England exemptions accepted) and get free UK delivery.
Private prescription delivery service
You have the option to choose delivery of medication to your home, office or another nominated location, or you can choose to collect from your local pharmacy. All private prescriptions will carry an associated charge.
Your children under 16
If you have any children under 16, you can add them to your account for paediatric consultations, with a limit of up to 10 children per member.
How can I get this?
You’ll need to visit the App Store or Google Play to download the app. Mobile data charges may apply.
Then simply follow the ‘register’ link within the app, and complete the short in-app registration form entering 211412 as your Access Number. You can use this to activate your account. You’ll also receive an email asking you to validate your email address to complete the registration.
Aviva Digital GP is available to residents of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the channel Islands and the Isle of Man at home or abroad.
Terms and conditions and the privacy policy for Aviva Digital GP can be viewed in the app before signing up. This service is a non-contractual benefit that could be changed or withdrawn at any time.
