Before you apply, you need to make sure you’ve read the information about the Stocks & Shares ISA.
You also need to read the Stocks & Shares ISA Terms and Conditions, Key Features document and the Fees and Charges brochure which you can find in your document library. Please make sure you understand these documents as they would be relied upon in the event of a dispute.
1. To open an Aviva Stocks & Shares ISA, you need to be:
- Aged 18 or over;
- A UK resident. You're also eligible to apply if you, your spouse or civil partner work overseas for the UK Government
2. Things to remember:
- You can only pay into one stocks and shares ISA in any tax year
- You can't exceed the overall ISA limit within the same tax year
- The value of investments could go down as well as up. You may get back less than the amount that's been invested
- You should think of your investment funds as a medium- to long-term investment of at least five years
- We don't assess the suitability of the investment. This means you won't receive the same level of protection had you received a personal recommendation - so you need to make certain that it meets your needs before you decide to go ahead
- By continuing with this application, you confirm that you have read our Fair Processing Notice, which explains how we share your data and what your rights are in relation to the personal information we use to process your application.
3. By opening an Aviva Stocks & Shares ISA, you are agreeing to the following:
- Your employer will be authorised to deduct subscriptions from your pay and supply the subscription information to us
- The Aviva Stocks & Shares ISA Terms and conditions
- We can provide information to your employer to prevent possible breaches of ISA regulations – for instance, if the payments from your salary meant you were going to exceed the ISA allowance
