Stress Helpline

A little more conversation

What is it?

The Stress Helpline offers insured employees over the age of 16 the chance to talk in confidence to trained counsellors about issues they feel are causing them stress.

Provided by Care first the helpline can be a good place for employees who need help with personal or work-related stress issues. Talking and sharing can be the first step in helping to work through problems and resolve them, aiming to achieve the best outcome for employees and employers.

How is it helpful?

Stress can develop when your employees feel they are having difficulty with the demands and expectations they face. And stress carries potential risks for your business, such as increased absenteeism, lower productivity, and low levels of morale.

The Stress Helpline offers your insured employees the chance to talk confidentially to accredited counsellors about anything that's bothering them, from money to family to relationships and everything in between.

Early intervention can help

Letting issues build over time can create bigger problems down the line, so the sooner your employees can get help, the better this could be for them, you and your business.

How can I launch this service?

Making sure your people know about wellbeing services is almost as valuable as the services themselves. That’s why we go the extra mile to make sure you have the tools you need to tell your employees what’s out there to help them in an engaging, informative way.

To help you, we’ve prepared our engagement support materials. These include posters, flyers, and email templates to share with your employees.

How can my employees access the helpline?

Your insured employees can simply call 0800 015 5632 any time day, or night. Calls are free and completely confidential with no limit to the number of times they can call. For your protection and ours, calls are monitored/recorded.

This service is a non-contractual benefit Aviva can change or withdraw at any time.

This is a benefit for members aged 16 and over, covered by a Group Critical Illness scheme.

To be eligible for this service employees must be a permanent resident of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man.
