Cover upgrade details
With our standard cover, we’ll provide insured persons with the cover set out in your terms and conditions for trips up to a maximum of 31 days.
There is no cover for any incident that happens during a trip if it occurs after 31 days, unless you have purchased an upgrade.
Before you book a trip or travel, you may need to tell us if you or anyone insured under the policy has a medical condition – or if there has been a change to an existing medical condition – not shown on the accepted conditions list (below), and haven't already told us about.

You can opt to upgrade your cover up to 45 days, 60 days, 75 days, 90 days or 120 days in total for the year with our Extended Stay cover. View our prices in the following table.

Please note:
These prices are for trips starting within the next 365 days. Prices are in addition to your current premiums. The premium shown must be paid by credit/debit card and is in addition to any monthly account fee that HSBC may charge you. If you live in the Channel Islands or Isle of Man, your price will not include Insurance Premium Tax.
If the first day of your trip is more than 365 days from today's date, please use this form instead.
If the first day of your trip is more than 457 days from today's date, we cannot offer you this upgrade just yet. Please come back to our site closer to the start of your trip to explore our cover upgrades.
