Grief Encounter

It's essential to talk

What is it?

Grief Encounter is a leading bereavement charity in the UK, supporting children, young people and their families after the death of a parent or someone close.

How is it helpful?

Losing a parent or sibling is both devastating and life-changing for a child. Grief Encounter is a charity that works closely with bereaved children, their family, school and other professionals to help them find a way through the anxiety, fear and isolation so often caused by grief.

  • Specialist, intensive support services including 1-2-1 and group work support
  • Creative therapies including talking, music, art and drama
  • Bespoke care plans including support with sleep, care in school and more
  • Weekend residentials and family fun days
