Barclays travel insurance – Pack updating
What’s changing with your travel insurance?
Barclays have told you about upcoming changes to your cover.
The date provided by Barclays in the first line of your communication is when these changes will take effect.
From that date, you will be able to manage your travel insurance online via your Barclays app or online banking.

Do I need to do anything?
Why is my travel insurance changing?
As Barclays update your Pack, we’re giving you the ability to manage your travel insurance online, including introducing the ability to screen your pre-existing medical condition online.
Do you have any planned trips you’ve already booked?
We’ll continue to provide cover for any medical conditions you’ve already told us about and we’ve accepted in writing. Any changes to those conditions and any new symptoms developed, or diagnoses received, for trips that fall within 12 months from the date your Pack changes. We will only do this for any trips booked prior to Barclays changing your Pack. Please use the Medical Cover Trip Checker below to confirm your cover for each trip you‘ve already booked.
Want to check what that means for your holidays?
If you don't currently have any trip booked, there is nothing for you to do just now. For any new trips you book after your pack is updated, you'll need a pre-exisiting conditions upgrade if you want cover for your pre-exisiting medical conditions.
How can I service digitally?
You’ll be able to service you travel insurance from the date the changes will take effect which Barclays will have confirmed to you in writing.
From that date, you can view your Travel Pack and ‘Manage Travel Insurance’ from your Barclays app or you can ‘Manage Pack’ by logging into your online banking.
This will give you access to get a quote for your medical conditions, request proof of your insurance, chat to us online and much more.
