Pension engagement season

We're on a mission to get people talking about pensions

Bringing retirement into focus

Starting this September, we’re joining the national Pay Your Pension Some Attention campaign to spark conversations about pensions. Why? Because we believe it’s time to change the dialogue around pensions and bring retirement into sharper focus for employees - for some, it could be closer than they think!

Everything you need to support employees in engaging with and understanding their pension

We understand the vital role you play in guiding employees towards a more secure financial future. That’s why we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Pension engagement season is anchored around three key awareness campaigns

Each campaign helps improve understanding, inspire action, and foster conversations about pensions and financial wellbeing.

  • Pension Awareness Week | 15-19 September
  • National Pension Tracing Day | 26 October
  • Talk Money Week | 3-7 November

These campaigns are a great chance to chat with employees about key pension topics.

Below, you’ll find a quick overview of each one, plus some helpful resources and materials to help you get started. Anything that needs to be printed will need to be ordered through your usual Aviva contact.

September-November

Pension engagement season is an annual, industry-wide initiative aimed at encouraging individuals to pay closer attention to their workplace pensions. Through the three key awareness campaigns outlined below, we want to transform the conversation around pensions and help prevent the regret of “I wish I could go back” later in life.

Below, you’ll find a variety of assets to support your communications throughout the entire pension engagement campaign. Anything that needs to be printed will need to be ordered through your usual Aviva contact.

15-19 September

Pension Awareness Week is an annual event dedicated to helping individuals better understand their pensions and take proactive steps for their future. It’s an opportunity to highlight the importance of saving for retirement, demystify pension jargon, and motivate individuals to engage with their pension plans, whether they're just starting out, approaching retirement, or somewhere in between.

Below, you can learn more about various factors influencing pension engagement and contributions. We've also included a self-serve email template you may wish to share with employees inviting them to our upcoming pensions Q&A webinar.

National Pension Tracing Day is focused on helping individuals reconnect with lost or forgotten pensions. With many people having multiple jobs throughout their careers, it’s easy to lose track of old pension pots. This day encourages individuals to take stock, use pension tracing tools, and reclaim what’s theirs to build their retirement savings.

Below, you'll find our dedicated employee webpage along with two posters designed to support awareness of our pension tracing service. Anything that needs to be printed will need to be ordered through your usual Aviva contact.

Talk Money Week is all about breaking the stigma around money conversations. It promotes open, honest discussions about personal finances, including pensions, savings, and budgeting. By normalising these conversations, the campaign aims to improve financial wellbeing and empower individuals to make informed decisions about their money.

Below, you’ll find valuable insights to strengthen your conversations with employees.
